Question Your Leaders....

The Framers of the Constitution gave us a responsibility when they gave us a republic. World Net Web defines a republic as, "a political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them." Do you feel like the 'supreme power' lies with you? When you watch the news and politicians and candidates for office dodge question after question, how empowered are you? Are you like me and you groan and shout when 'Professional Politician' refuses to answer a straight yes or no question? Isn't it time for that to end? Shouldn't we demand more from the men and women leading our nation?

The First Amendment of the Constitution provides us with the Freedom of the Press, but what does a republic do when the press itself has become jaded or biased? Thank God Al Gore (uh, I mean the giver of the Internet). The answer to that problem is cohesiveness within the electorate! Yet, how can we do that when America is so polarized? Hopefully, Grassroots Interview can help...

So, what are your questions? If you had a candidate for president standing in front of you, what question would you ask? Comment below and share your thoughts. Help me in this cause to protect our republic!

"A free and independent news media is the indispensable ingredient for a free society. The constitutional protection given to a free press in the First Amendment recognizes that truth." - Unknown
